Intercontinental Bank Staff Wins Verve PromoReleased on 03 Dec 2009 … Additional 65 instant prizes won As a mark of commitment to customer satisfaction, Intercontinental Bank’s staff Olaoye Oluseyi has emerged the winner of the Grand Prize of a return ticket to the United Kingdom in the just concluded Interswitch sponsored Verve Mystery Shopper Promo. At the grand finale held in Lagos last week, it was all smiles for Intercontinental Bank as its Customer Service Officers (CSOs) also won over 65 instant prizes indicating clearly that the bank’s officers had shown brilliance during the course of the Promo. The Verve Mystery Customer Promo is an initiative of Interswitch Nigeria to reward Customer Service Officers who are able to show knowledge about the Verve card. Interswitch had in time past conducted series of surveys on cardholder (consumer) behavior. The survey showed that majority of cardholders were unable to differentiate the roles of the banks and the switch provider in card production & functionalities, while verve card product knowledge was low, with few cardholders showing awareness of the value added features of Verve card. Thus Mystery Shopper initiative was implemented to bridge this gap in product awareness, increase card sign ups and activation thereby enabling commercial Banks reap returns on Investment. It would be recalled that Intercontinental Bank was the first to comply with the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) mandate last February, to scrap the magnetic stripe ATM cards and replace it with the Verve which is a Europay, MasterCard and Visa (EMV) complaint CHIP and PIN cards. |
